Can your dog dive the highest, fastest or farthest? Is your dog the cutest or the ugliest mutt on the block? Maybe he’s got the best bag of tricks. Whether you’re in it to win or just want to enjoy a day with your dog, come to Lake Lanier Pet Fest on Oct. 1-2 at Laurel Park.
Dates: Saturday Oct. 1 and Sunday Oct. 2, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Admission: $5 per car per day (additional for contest entries)
Activities: Dixie Dock Dogs regional competition, dog contests, agility demonstrations by Atlanta Dog Agility , pet-friendly games and related services showcased over two days with kids’ activities, live music and food on the shores of Lake Lanier. Vaccinated and trained pets on leashes welcome. Proceeds benefit the Hall County Animal Shelter, which serves 8,000 animals each year.
Register now for the Inaugural Pet Fest 5K or the 1 Mile Pet Trot with your dog! The $25 registration fee includes a T-shirt and admission for the day to Lake Lanier Pet Fest if you sign up by Sept. 25. Hurry - only 150 runners accepted!

Hall County Animal Shelter provides abandoned animals with a temporary home, medical services including spay/neuter, and help finding a loving family. Operated by the Animal Services Division of Hall County Government, the Animal Shelter reduces the unwanted pet population through low-cost adoptions, spay/neuter services and public education, and enhances public safety by offering microchips and rabies vaccinations. The Animal Shelter, located at 1688 Barber Road, welcomes community support to better accomplish its mission of “Helping Pets, Helping People.”
